- Understanding IP Address Variability: First, it’s important to note that the IP address of your pilotMap can change. This variation depends on your WiFi router’s settings. Typically, IP addresses may change daily or with every restart of the pilotMap. This variability is due to the DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) used by most routers, which assigns IP addresses dynamically.
- Using an IP Scanner: To find the current IP address of your pilotMap, you will need to use an IP scanner. An IP scanner is a software tool that scans a network and lists all the devices connected to it, along with their IP addresses.
- Downloading the Scanner: Go to Advanced IP Scanner to download the IP scanner software. Ensure that the software is compatible with your operating system. Follow the installation instructions provided on the website.
- Using the Scanner: After installing the IP scanner, you need to use it to find your pilotMap’s IP address. Here’s a brief rundown:
- Open the IP scanner software.
- Click on the “Scan” button to start scanning your network.
- Wait for the scan to complete. The software will list all devices connected to your network.
- Look for your pilotMap in the list. It might be identified by its device name or model.
- Note down the IP address displayed next to your pilotMap.
- Watching the Tutorial Video: To get a more detailed understanding of how to use the IP scanner, watch the instructional video provided. This video will guide you through each step of the process and may offer additional tips and tricks.
Remember, if you cannot find your pilotMap in the list or if you encounter any issues, make sure your pilotMap is properly connected to the network and that your computer is on the same network.
